art KARLSRUHE 2013
Passion for art
More visitors than ever before took advantage of the perfect spring weather to take a trip to Karlsruhe’s trade fair and exhibition centre to view the broad spectrum of art presented by 220 galleries from 13 countries, enabling art KARLRUHE to generate turnover running into millions. “The tenth event attracted more than 50,000 highly-interested visitors and gallery owners got the best gift they could wish for from collectors – brisk sales to reward their passion for art,” said Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH director, Britta Wirtz, summing up. The enthusiasm shown in gallery owners’ offerings at art KARLSRUHE remains undiminished. Good sales, an enthusiastic public, and mostly satisfied gallery owners, so much acclaim could certainly go to one’s head but Ewald Karl Schrade remains realistic: “No, don’t worry, we won’t get cocky in spite of the success of this tenth art KARLSRUHE. We’ll continue to work on improving the event and are already looking forward to 2014.”
The eleventh art KARLSRUHE takes place from 13 March to 16 March 2014.
