Baden-Württemberg and the City of Karlsruhe have been jointly offering the art KARLSRUHE Prize since 2008. An expert jury selects the winner as the outright best from amongst the 160 one-artist shows. Both the artist and the gallery owner are likely to be highly delighted with the prize endowed with 15,000 euros.
The award ceremony for the Hans Platschek Prize for Art and Writing has been a firm fixture at art KARLSRUHE for eight years. At art KARLSRUHE 2015 it is being presented to the artist Rikuo Ueda, born in Japan in 1950. He is known for his virtuosic drawings and sketches for which he lets the wind guide the brush.
The Hungarian National Museum is the oldest public museum in Hungary and is dedicated to the history of the country. The Historical Photo Department as a unit of the Museum collects, preserves and studies the photos related to Hungarian history.
